Gentex’s HGU-55/P bungee-visor fixed-wing helmet is compact, lightweight, and versatile with easy to change lenses.  It was designed for the high-g combat environment of modern fighters.  The single bungee visor has a dark and optional gradient, clear, amber, and high-contrast lenses.  The dual bungee visor has dark and clear lenses.

Gentex’s HGU-55/E single-visor helmet is identical to the HGU-55/P except that a lightweight protective visor assembly replaces the bungee visor.  The visor assembly allows easy movement of the impact-resistant poly-carbonate lens and locks the lens securely up or down.  The standard dark lens can easily be changed to an optional gradient, clear, amber, or high-contrast lens.
