The U.S. Air Force issued the MA-1 from the 1950s to the 1980s, making it one of the most famous flight jackets of all time.
The outer shell is nylon flight satin with an orange nylon lining and warm polyester batting insulation. Heavy nylon knit cuffs, collar, and waistband keep out the chill. It has flap pockets on the outside, snap pockets on the inside and a zippered pen-and-pencil pocket on the sleeve. It is completely reversible for emergency use.
