Alpha Cords for ANR using aircraft power require a power jack in the aircraft. A TJT120MS communications-and-power jack allows the use of an ANR cord with a single U-384 plug. A 2.1 mm DC power jack allows the use of an ANR cord with a 2.1 mm power plug and separate communications plugs. The aircraft 12-or-28-volt power must also be reduced to 9 volts for the ANR.

Alpha Six-inch and Extender Cords for ANR Using Aircraft Power

These alpha six-inch and extender cords are designed for ANR using aircraft power. Six-inch cords install on your helmet and require an extender cord to make a complete communications cord. They allow you to unplug the six-inch cord from the extender cord and exit the aircraft wearing your helmet. They also allow quick-disconnect in an emergency, which is recommended by the NTSB.
