Cords for Stereo provide stereo sound in helmets equipped with earphones, CEP, or ANR in aircraft delivering stereo communications.

They fit HGU-55, HGU-33, HGU-68/P, and other fixed wing helmets.

Cord and Microphone on Same Side or Opposite Sides

The microphone and communications cord are usually on the same side of the helmet.  If you want them on opposite sides, you have that choice.

Stereo Helmet Cords

Stereo cords provide separate sound channels to the left and right ear. They end in a U-384 plug and require that the aircraft be fitted with a TJT120MS stereo communications jack.

Six-inch and Extender Cords for Stereo

Six-inch cords install on your helmet and require an extender cord to make a complete communications cord. They allow you to unplug the six-inch cord and exit the aircraft wearing your helmet. They also allow quick-disconnect in an emergency, which is recommended by the NTSB.
