Skyliner Airline Jacket
Pilots for many of America’s best-known airlines wear Skyliner leather jackets with their uniforms. Its top quality materials, fine tailoring, and professional appearance have made it the most preferred and desired airline uniform jacket.
Skyliner is cut full and slightly off-the-shoulder. Its unique pull-out action back allows you to easily reach over your head. The leather cuffs snap shut and the back of the waistband is elasticized so it adjusts to you. The snap-shut storm flap over the zipper keeps out the cold, even in a driving wind.
Your Skyliner will be made from top-quality materials. Gibson & Barnes uses grade-A hides that are drum-dyed and lightly pigmented so the leather will become even more beautiful the more you wear your jacket. The long-wearing polyester twill lining slips on easily, the solid brass zipper slides smoothly and the black-oxide S-ring snaps click shut quietly and securely.
Skyliner’s design is clean and elegant. We use large hides so we can make your jacket from fewer pieces. Most jacket makers split the back into two pieces, but ours is cut from a single hide. Even the storm flap is cut as part of the front of the jacket, rather than a strip of leather sewn on top.
You can slip your rank insignia over the epaulets. You’ll have two large inset chest pockets with plenty of room for your gear, inset welt pockets to keep your hands warm, and a large leather-bound inside pocket for your wallet. Slip on your Skyliner, call for clearance, and you’ll be ready for takeoff.
